Newnham rowers have made a significant contribution to Cambridge’s clean sweep in the Boat Race 2023. Newnham College Boat Club (NCBC) Co-Captain Becca Sproston reports from the Tideway:
Beginning with the Openweight/Lightweight Spare Coxed Four, Beth Taylor and Vicky Noci, who both noviced at Newnham, put in a strong performance to defeat Oxford.
On Sunday, Hanna Prince captained the Blondie crew and Caoimhe Dempsey, the Women’s CUBC President, stroked the Blue Boat beating Oxford by 3 lengths and 4.5 lengths respectively.
There was strong NCBC support on the bank too (pictured below), proudly cheering Cambridge on.
All four have worked so hard and should be very proud of their achievements!
