Clare Balding book event at Ely Cathedral

Clare Balding OBE (NC 1991) is to launch her new book, The Isle of Dogs, at an event at Ely Cathedral in October. The book explores Britain’s fascination for dogs, with Clare meeting some of the many people who live, work and innovate with their dogs, examining the mysteries of extinct breeds to the ancient dogs still thriving today, and adventuring from Battersea Dogs Home to Shetland via Buckingham Palace.

The broadcaster, who studied English under Fellow Emerita Jean Gooder (NC 1953) in the 1990s, recently led the BBC’s coverage of Wimbledon and commentated on the King’s Coronation, amongst her many other activities.

The event takes place in the Gallery at Ely Cathedral on Friday 13 October from 7.30pm, with doors opening at 6.45pm. Please see the Topping & Company Booksellers’ website for tickets and more information.
