You can also use it as a point of reference throughout your first year as it has details on everything from college life, to study tips, and even some recommendations of places to visit! We also have a plain text version if that is helpful for you.

There is also a Newnham Freshers’ Facebook group for you to join if you’d like to be a part of that. This is hosted by our Freshers’ President and is not information relayed by the College. Remember, if you’re under 18, you need to get parental consent to join.

College Family – Requires Action

At Newnham, everyone has the option to have a ‘College family’. You’ll have one or more parent(s), who are second-year students there to help you out, support you, and make Newnham a welcoming and accessible environment for you, and probably one or two siblings in your year!  Families work best when you’ve got things in common, so please complete this Google form by 11:59pm on 28th August to let the JCR Freshers’ Committee know a little bit about you so they know who would suit you best as your family.  If you are not able to access Google forms, please email jcr.freshers@newn.cam.ac.uk and the Freshers’ Committee will send you a word document to complete instead.
