The Faculty of Philosophy, together with Magdalene and Newnham Colleges seek to appoint an Isaac Newton Trust Academic Career Development Fellow in Philosophy. The Fellowship is a new opportunity for exceptional scholars to contribute to both research and teaching within a Faculty and College environment, offering excellent preparation for applying for future academic appointments.
Newnham College has a rich history of philosophy, from our co-founder Henry Sidgwick to current Fellows Prof Rae Langton and Dr Laura Caponetto.

As an Isaac Newton Trust Academic Career Development Fellow, you will have an opportunity to:
- enjoy protected time for an independent research project;
- be embedded in a Faculty research and teaching culture;
- teach in Colleges in small groups;
- act as a College Director of Studies for students reading Philosophy;
- teach undergraduate and/or Masters students in a Faculty setting;
- be mentored by Faculty members in academic skills (teaching, research, publication, grant applications, academic administration).
