‘Not knowing’ about Newnham or the Cambridge admissions process should not in any way be a roadblock to potential applicants and so we aim to make the process as transparent as possible, through information on our webpages, events for prospective applicants and points of contact for teachers and supporters.
We hope that the following information and resources will prove helpful for teachers who are supporting applicants to Newnham, and the University of Cambridge more widely. If you are a teacher at a school in one of Newnham’s Link Areas (Barking and Dagenham, Birmingham, Enfield, Redbridge or Walsall), please visit our Access and Outreach pages to find out more about what the college can offer your students.
If you have any questions which are not answered on the Newnham College website, please email these to admissions@newn.cam.ac.uk and Catherine, Newnham’s Admissions Coordinator, will get back to you as soon as possible.
Teachers’ mailing list
Holly, Newnham’s Schools Liaison and Outreach Officer, sends out a regular email bulletin with information about upcoming events and competitions, as well as links to information and resources. All teachers are welcome to sign up for the bulletin, but teachers from our Link Area schools are particularly encouraged to join.
In order to receive the Newnham Teacher’s Bulletin, you will need to sign up to our mailing list here.
Events for Students
You can find out more about the events Newnham runs for students on Newnham’s Access and Outreach pages and Open Days and Events pages.
You can view our Child Protection Policy here.
Events for Teachers
Newnham runs occasional events specifically for teachers – these are usually on offer for teachers from our Link Area schools. Upcoming events for teachers will be linked below.
