At Newnham we know that for our students to reach their full academic potential, we need to ensure their well-being as much as their educational needs.
We aim to create a strong support network, and each student has a Director of Studies (DoS) for academic matters, and a personal Tutor for non-academic matters.
Our College Nurse and College Wellbeing Advisor are friendly and professional faces, who can support students with physical and mental health needs. The Chaplain of Selwyn College is available to support Newnham students of all faiths and none.
Our Porters’ Lodge is staffed around the clock, so that someone is always available in the event of an emergency.
In addition to dedicated staff members, we also have an active ‘College family’ system, with new students given a ‘College mother’ in the year above to help and support them.
