Skilliter Centre for Ottoman Studies

The Skilliter Centre for Ottoman Studies supports research into the history, literature and culture of the Ottoman empire and the early Turkish Republic.

It seeks to encourage knowledge and understanding of a major Muslim empire with large European and Mediterranean territories, and to assist scholars from many disciplines in exploring connections between their own work and Ottoman studies. It is the only research centre devoted purely to Ottoman studies in the UK and Western Europe and has an international profile.
