We are pleased to be able to welcome researchers back to Newnham College Archives. We have developed the following guidance to ensure that your visit is COVID safe.
Please do not come to the Archives if:
You are self-isolating or you have COVID-related symptoms.
You do not yet have a reader’s appointment.
When visiting the Archives:
Our Research Space is arranged to minimise close contact, but this does mean that we can only accommodate one researcher at a time.
We will be opening windows to maximise ventilation and air flow. This, combined with our 100% fresh air intake in the air handling system, may make the Research Space a bit chilly on occasion, so do bring extra layers if you think you might need them.
Wearing face coverings is advised in crowded and enclosed spaces. Please respect others who decide to wear a face covering.
Please wash your hands thoroughly with soap and water before handling archive material. We advise against the use of hand sanitiser because it can leave residues.
We will clean shared surfaces and equipment before and after use.
Please take away with you any tissues or other rubbish that you generate during your visit.
