In April 2022, we were delighted to welcome back students from matriculation years 1952, 1962, 1965, 1972, 1980, 1990, 1997, 2000 and 2012 for Commemoration Weekend. On Friday evening, those who matriculated in 2000, 1990, 1980, 1965 reunited for their dinner in place of the postponed 2020 reunion, including our Principal Alison Rose among the 1980 cohort, followed by matriculants from 1952, 1962, 1972, 1997 celebrating on Saturday evening. This was a particularly special celebration for our 1972 year group, who were marking their 50th anniversary of their coming up to Newnham.
We loved seeing our alumnae meet old friends, make new connections, and enjoy a range of activities, from tours of Newnham’s gardens with a member of our Gardening Team, to the Roll Annual General Meeting and Lecture, delivered by Dr Mathelinda Nabugodi.
