Biography
Dr Thanuja Galhena is an engineer, based at the Cambridge Graphene Centre as an industrial visitor.
Dr Thanuja Galhena is a Project Scientist at Versarien plc. She is based at the Cambridge Graphene Centre at the University of Cambridge as an industrial visitor.
Dr Galhena was a Postdoctoral Research Associate in the Cambridge Graphene Centre and a Teaching Fellow in the EPSRC Centre for Doctoral Training in Graphene Technology at the University of Cambridge, before joining Versarien. She graduated with a BSc in Chemistry from the University of Colombo, Sri Lanka, followed by a M.Phil. in Nanotechnology and Material Science and studied for her PhD at University of Cambridge at the Department of Engineering.
At Newnham, Dr Galhena is our Adviser to Black, Asian and Minority Students.

Research Interests
Dr Thanuja Galhena works on materials chemistry and her current research focuses on 2-dimentional material-based dispersions, inks, coatings, composites and their structural and functional applications such as barrier properties, energy storage and sensing.
