Biography

Silvia González Jové graduated with a degree in Spanish Language and Literature at Universitat de Rovira i Virgili, Tarragona, Spain (2000). This was followed by a PGCE (CAP) in Spanish Language and Literature (2001) and two years later a Postgraduate from the Instituto Cervantes in Teaching Spanish Language as a foreign language. In 2005, she started to teach and supervise ‘Spanish Language’ and ‘translation into Spanish’ at Cambridge (Department of Portuguese and Spanish) as an Affiliated lecturer. The following year, she completed a Postgraduate and evaluated language syllabus of secondary schools in Spain and its impact on learners speaking skills (English). In 2008, studied an MA in Education (Applied Linguistics) and focused on gender, language, and bilingual children.

Silvia is now fully dedicated to teaching Spanish language and translation. She teaches and examines at all levels, with special interest in language courses. In addition to her supervising and lecturing work, she collaborates with Cambridge Assessment on the GCSE Spanish paper.
