Niamh Tumelty is a Chartered Librarian and Head of Open Research Services at Cambridge University Libraries. This involves leadership of the university’s Office of Scholarly Communication, which supports researchers with open scholarly publishing, data management and researcher development, and the development of an Open Research Programme which will lead to significant improvements in the support Cambridge researchers receive in developing open research practices. Recent projects have included strategic workshops to inform how the University of Cambridge will approach the future of scholarly communication and the development of a rights retention pilot to support researchers in making their publications open access without charge.
