Biography

Dr Hania Paverd is a medical doctor specialising in Radiology, with a research interest in machine learning for medical image analysis. Hania read Medicine at Newnham College before moving onto Specialty Training in Radiology at Addenbrooke’s Hospital. In 2024, Hania accepted a position of Clinical Research Training Fellow at the Early Cancer Institute in Cambridge, working under supervision of Dr Crispin and Dr Hoare. She has been supervising Homeostasis (Physiology) course at Newnham throughout her clinical career.

Research Interests

Dr Hania Paverd is currently working on leveraging machine learning techniques for early detection of liver cancer. Her research focuses on computational analysis of radiology images (in particular CT and MRI) in combination with other data modalities (e.g. genomic data) to improve risk stratification of patients with liver disease.
