Biography

Dr. Anna Corrigan studied Comparative Literature at Cornell University before moving to Europe to pursue a master's degree in the Erasmus Mundus "Crossways in Cultural Narratives" program (funded by the Education, Audiovisual and Culture Executive Agency of the European Commission). Her M.A. studies took her to Santiago de Compostela, St. Andrews and Lisbon, where she completed a thesis on the German-born Argentinian photographer Grete Stern. Dr. Corrigan received her PhD from Cambridge as a Gates scholar in Latin American Studies, where she completed a thesis on the coevolution of art and politics in the region since the 1970s under the supervision of Professor Joanna Page.

Research Interests

Dr. Anna Corrigan researches visual culture and politics in Latin America. She is particularly interested in the formation of publics, networks, and collective movements through creative practice since 1945.
