We are delighted and proud to announce news that current student and previous JCR President Lottie Mills has had her collection of short stories signed by Oneworld Publications. The collection includes Lottie’s BBC Young Writer Award-winning story ‘The Changeling’ which we have previously featured.
To read more, please see article in The Bookseller published on 11 May 2022 where Oneworld publisher Juliet Mabey comments “Lottie is a precocious talent – a mere 16 when first shortlisted for the BBC Young Writer Award in 2018 – and I was completely blown away by the maturity of these superb stories,” She continues, “Her writing is original and poignant and challenges us to look beyond our own boundaries and life experiences. We are absolutely thrilled and feel very privileged to be introducing Lottie’s work to readers around the world.”
Lottie will also be part of our 150th Anniversary Festival of Arts, Science and Ideas this summer (2-3 July) and can be found in our special Book Tent alongside distinguished writers from Ali Smith and Margaret Drabble to an array of other exciting up and coming talent such as Lottie herself.
