Newnham medics recognised in Research Impact awards

The winners of the Cambridge Awards for Research Impact Engagement were announced on Wednesday 4 February. The awards honour researchers for "exceptional achievement, innovation, and creativity in developing research engagement and impact plans with significant economic, social, and cultural potential". 
 
We were delighted to see two members of our College community recognised for their important and impactful work.
 
Dr Saleyha Ahsan (Department of Engineering, School of Technology) was highly commended in the Early Career Researcher category for her project titled, Healthcare in conflict: consensus development on the challenges of delivering healthcare in armed conflict.
 
Bye-Fellow Dr Aditi Vedi (Department of Paediatrics, School of Clinical Medicine) was awarded runner up in the Collaboration award for her work on Ultrafast whole genome sequencing to enable personalised treatments for childhood cancer.
