Dr Thanuja Galhena appointed as Adviser to Black, Asian and Minority Ethnic Students

The College is delighted to announce that we have appointed Dr Thanuja Galhena as our first Adviser to Black, Asian and Minority Ethnic Students.

Thanuja Galhena is an engineer, a Bye-Fellow of Newnham, and a former graduate student here (NC 2012).

Any Newnham student, including both BAME and non-BAME students, can speak to Thanuja if they have general or specific concerns relating to race and minority ethnic backgrounds.

In an interview a few years ago, she said, “Newnham is my home. All I want is to make it home for thousands of strong, invincible, loving and kind women who can make the world a better place tomorrow.” This role offers her a new opportunity to make that happen.

To arrange to talk, please email her on dtlg2@cam.ac.uk.
