Applications open for the Margaret Anstee Research Fellowship
Applications have opened for an outstanding early career female researcher to apply for a Margaret Anstee Research Fellowship in subjects related to economic and social development and/or international relations in the Global South.
The Fellow will be based at the Margaret Anstee Centre, the legacy of Dame Margaret Anstee, the first woman Under-Secretary General of the United Nations and a graduate of Newnham. The successful candidate will begin their Fellowship on 1 October 2025, the Fellowship runs for three years and eleven months.
The Centre focuses on trends in international development with the aim of supporting inclusive social and economic change around the world. It also hosts the Archives of the Disappeared, an initiative that addresses the challenges of research, documentation and evidence collection in the study of communities, social movements, life-worlds and cultures that have been destroyed through violence.
