Applications open for Newnham Research Fellowships

Research

Newnham College is looking for outstanding female researchers early in their career to apply for two Fellowships.

The Fellowships are the Sciences Research Fellowship, and the Arts, Humanities and Social Sciences Research Fellowship, which offer an opportunity to carry out independent research in our stimulating and supportive academic community, over three years.

Current Newnham Research Fellows include Dr Hana D’Souza who is looking at how children with Down syndrome learn; and Dr Gabriella Heller, who’s research focuses on proteins prevalent in diseases such as dementia and cancer.

The Fellowships attract a generous stipend, and an additional award of £10,000 is available to run an event to promote the research, such as a conference, workshop or seminar series.

Applications close for the Sciences Research Fellowship on 23 September 2022; and for the Arts, Humanities and Social Sciences Research Fellowship on 30 September.
