Video: Newnham women's war work at Bletchley Park

More than 70 Newnham College alumna are now know to have worked in codebreaking at Bletchley Park. Research by alumna Dr Sally Waugh, Newnham Archivist Frieda Midgley, as well as historian and Fellow Emerita Dr Gill Sutherland uncovered the incredible story, piecing together clues over several years.

They worked closely with staff at Bletchley Park, which is now a heritage attraction and museum. The vital intelligence that was produced helped turn the tide of war."
