Pudding Seminar: Carol Cooper (SCR), 'Deadlier than War - Infections that Shaped History'

Diseases have had a greater impact on the past than most people realize. Wars may excite historians more, yet, over the centuries, infections have killed more people. They have changed the course of wars, devastated populations, and made nations easier to conquer. In this talk, I focus on Egypt, where I grew up, and look at two very different infections that had profound effects.
