Life Skills for Women

Everything you need to know to tackle life beyond the Cambridge bubble!

From dealing with criticism and failure, to making your finances work for you, this one day event covers the top skills that graduates say they wished they’d known before they left Cambridge.

Plus performance poet Megan Beech live!

Options include

  • Maintaining motivation, dealing with criticism and failure
  • Managing time effectively
  • Wellbeing and resilience
  • Making your finances work
  • Using social media effectively
  • Negotiating strategies
  • Dealing with difficult people and relationships

During the day, you’ll have plenty of time to meet other students, share your worries and solutions – with smoothie breaks and a buffet lunch to keep you energised.

As part of our commitment to supporting all women students at Cambridge University, this is open to all current Newnham students and all current women students at other Cambridge colleges.

Please note: in past years, some people have booked places and then not attended. This prevents other students from taking part and wastes food. To avoid this, we are asking people to pay a £15 deposit upon booking, which will be returned to you once you have attended the course.
