Newnham's location in central Cambridge is a key reason for holding your event at the College. Newnham is just a 5 minute drive from the M11 and a 10 minute walk into the city centre.
Directions
By car
The College’s postcode is CB3 9DF. Sidgwick Avenue is just off the A603 and approximately 2 miles from Junction 12 on the M11.
Please note that Silver Street is closed to cars for part of the day, and has a ‘tidal flow’ system for the rest. At most times it will be easier, when approaching the College from the southern part of Cambridge, to use Fen Causeway.
The College does have parking available but it is limited. For all aspects of conference parking, including parking for those with disabilities, please contact the Conference Administrator.. All vehicles are left at owner’s risk. There is pay-and-display parking on Sidgwick Avenue, Ridley Hall Road & Newnham Walk.
By rail
There are frequent train services from London (King’s Cross, 49 mins, and Liverpool Street) and from the North and Midlands. There is a taxi rank at the station.
By coach
Regular coach service runs between London (Victoria Coach Station) and Cambridge.
By air
Stansted is the nearest international airport. There are regular coach services from Cambridge to all London airports, and train services from Stansted to Cambridge (see the links above).

There is a direct dial taxi call-line located at the Porters’ Lodge.
