Campaign Launch Event, Thursday 9th March: Newnham, London, Oxford, York and Edinburgh

The Principal and Fellows of Newnham College would be delighted if you and your guest would join us at one of the following launch events.

All events will start at 6.00pm with an introduction by a senior member of the College, drinks and canapés. The evening will include a leading academic discussing their research, a presentation by a Newnham postgraduate student, and a live musical performance. The evening will end at 7.30pm.

Professor Maria Ubiali will be giving a short talk on her current research which focuses on particle physics theory and phenomenology. 

House of Lords, London 

Professor Jenny Morton will be giving a short talk on “In search of treatments for Huntington’s disease: what have sheep got to do with it?”. 

Pitt Rivers Museum, Oxford 

Dr Shushma Malik will talk on “Classics and New Directions” 

Fairfax House, York 

Dr Sam Lucy will talk on “Women, status and religion in 7th-century eastern Britain: recent excavations and their implications” 

Scotsman Hotel, Edinburgh 

Dr Ricarda Beckmann will talk on “Inside black holes: why the Universe would not look the same without them”
